Before you enrol
How long, really?
The stated duration is actual work, not connection time or video runtime. A micro-credential takes hours, a certification takes weeks at four to six hours a week. If you do not have that time, better to know now.
What if I am not ready?
The real prerequisite is shown on every course page, and it is not decorative: what it lists will not be re-explained. If unsure, start with a micro-credential in the same field — a few hours settle it, at a cost incomparable to a dropout.
What the certificate is worth
Do employers recognise it?
The certificate carries a public verification link: the employer checks the title, date and validated skills for themselves, without calling you and without creating an account. That is stronger than a claimed recognition: the employer does not take your word for it, they see for themselves.
Does the certificate expire?
Most do not. The exception is fields where content genuinely dates — regulation, safety, tool-specific material — and there the date appears on the certificate from issue, not in terms and conditions.
During the course
Does the tutor give answers?
Never on an assessment. It rephrases, offers an example, asks a question that moves things forward. That refusal is what gives the certificate its value: if asking were enough, the verification link would prove nothing.
My connection is poor. Is that a blocker?
No. Content downloads and runs offline, and your answers are sent when the signal returns. This constraint shaped the design rather than being handled as a degraded mode.
