Questions about this field
Do I need to know how to code?
Not to start. A large part of the field can be tackled through spreadsheets and no-code tools, which is often enough to create value in an SME. Programming becomes necessary from the « models » stage onward, stated as such on each course page.
Does the content keep up with model changes?
Principles — evaluation, bias, output verification — move slowly; tools move fast. Tool-specific modules therefore carry an explicit date, and a course in session is never changed under your feet: the freeze rule guarantees two learners in the same session received the same teaching.
Only four advanced modules is not many.
Correct, and this is the best-served field on that front. The base is an intermediate plateau: it makes you operational, it does not make you a researcher. Expert level is produced on demand, for a specific need, paid in production lead time rather than waiting for a catalogue.
